What You Will Be Doing:
Join our team to help build software that transforms complex scientific datasets into actionable insights. Work with advanced technologies to accelerate the pace and quality of crop system development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop user-friendly solutions for data ingestion, access, and curation using GCP technologies.
- Apply deep knowledge of algorithms and data structures to innovate continuously.
- Contribute to projects based on the strength of ideas, not organizational hierarchy.
- Collaborate with top talent to solve complex challenges with real-world impact.
- Explore and develop modern technology stacks to find the best fit for each software solution.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7+ years of software engineering experience.
- Recent/active experience with GoLang.
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language (e.g., Go, Java, C#, Python, backend TypeScript).
- Proven ability to build and maintain cloud-based infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with containerized application deployments using Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of relational data models (RDBMS/SQL) and NoSQL.
- Experience in developing or architecting distributed software systems.
- High level of comfort with unit testing methodologies.
- Proven experience building and maintaining data-intensive APIs using gRPC.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency with Go.
- Experience with protocol buffers and a RESTful approach.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Google Kubernetes Engine, or Kubernetes.
- Experience working with Google BigQuery.
- A four-year degree in IT or equivalent experience.
Pay: $77 – $110 /hr.
