What You Will Be Doing:
We are building a future-state platform to enable farmers to purchase the best products for their farms. This platform will include capabilities such as quotes, ordering, pricing, discounts, inventory, and delivery functions. We seek an experienced engineer to accelerate the delivery of these critical capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate daily with the team to define requirements and manage priorities.
- Interact directly with business customers to gather requirements and translate them into application features.
- Develop applications and services using the latest tools and technologies.
- Guide technical design and architecture decisions within the team and across the domain platform.
- Deploy applications across all environments in collaboration with the development team, release team, and Product Management.
- Perform unit, integration, functional, and non-functional testing.
- Ensure accurate technical documentation of application design and code.
- Develop strong relationships and communicate effectively within the team, across teams, with Product Management, and with customers to enhance the overall quality of products.
- Identify opportunities to develop new and better solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software development.
- Expertise in solving challenging technical problems in:
- Single-page web application development
- Cloud-based software solutions
- Micro-service design and development
- Strong collaboration and team focus.
- Self-starter who takes ownership and delivers exceptional results.
- Ability to lead through ambiguity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to break down technical topics and build alignment.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience with JavaScript (React), Node.js, Material Design, and TypeScript.
- Experience in SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Mobile app development experience.
- Practical experience and understanding of industry practices, engineering principles, concepts, and standards.
- Business insight, strategic mindset, innovation cultivation, vision & purpose, and decision-making skills.
Pay: $75.60 – $108 /hr.
