What You Will Be Doing:

As a Senior Scrum Master, you will provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to multiple Agile development teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring the successful implementation of Scrum practices within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective collaboration, facilitation, leadership, and coaching skills to support the Agile development process and delivery of applications.
  • Enforce Agile principles, remove impediments, and promote team empowerment.
  • Oversee CRT's release governance, communicate release status to external stakeholders, and coordinate with Product Management on internal and external communication.
  • Organize and facilitate daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos, and other Scrum-related meetings.
  • Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress.
  • Maintain process documentation and ensure development teams practice core Agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility.
  • Update Agile tracking systems for transparency on Product & Sprint Backlogs.
  • Recommend improvements and assist in adopting best practices.
  • Support development managers and project lead as necessary.
  • Assist with internal and external communication to improve transparency and radiate information.
  • Facilitate discussion, and conflict resolution, and empower teams to self-organize.
  • Improve the productivity of sprint teams and ensure each increment of functionality is potentially releasable.
  • Oversee all task activities assigned to Scrum teams and act as a Servant Leader and coach for the Agile Release Train.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master and Release Train Engineer.
  • 8+ years of overall technology experience.
  • Project Management experience using Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience in coaching and leading teams new to Agile.
  • Excellent team leader with the ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Understanding of software development skills, preferably Mainframe/Java.
  • Knowledge of IaaS and PaaS cloud service provisioning and operations.
  • Experience using Work Tracking Tools.
  • Experience communicating status and updates to executive-level management.
  • Experience negotiating prioritization between Product Owners and Technical Leadership.
  • Experience working with Agile methodology on large-scale, technically complex projects for a large enterprise.
  • Highly adaptable to a constantly changing environment.
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse and geographically dispersed team.
  • Collaborative in driving decisions and able to interact with all levels of management and stakeholders

Pay: $79.10 – $113 /hr.
