What You Will Be Doing:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and developing SQL data warehouse solutions, creating complex Power BI reports and dashboards, and optimizing SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages for ETL processes. The role requires deep technical knowledge and the ability to provide technical guidance to the development team, as well as interaction with various project teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform requirement analysis and review for enterprise-level clients to identify reporting database enhancements.
- Design and develop SQL data warehouse solutions using SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and Tableau.
- Develop various types of reports and dashboards using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), MS Power BI, and Tableau.
- Design, develop, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages for complex ETL processes.
- Design and implement API and data integration solutions using Connect and SSIS.
- Develop and create database objects such as schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
- Design SQL extracts to support SSIS packages for data extraction and harmonization.
- Create and maintain source-to-target mappings and implementation documents for the ETL development process.
- Provide proofs of concept and technical guidance to the development team.
- Interact with different project teams to finalize the release scope for project delivery.
- Analyze and fix defects/issues reported in production environments during deployment and hypercare support.
- Develop technical enhancements, system documentation, and implement procedures for quality improvement.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience designing and developing technical reporting solutions using Business Intelligence tools and technologies, including the Microsoft BI stack.
- Extensive hands-on experience across all stages of the BI lifecycle, including system analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, post-production support, maintenance, documentation, and end-user training.
- Proficiency in creating various reports, including tabular, matrix, drill-down, crosstab, ad-hoc, summary, list, and distributed reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Strong experience in creating complex ETL packages using SSIS.
- Experience in developing SQL stored procedures and other database objects.
- Proficiency in creating complex BI reports and dashboards using MS Power BI; experience with Tableau is a plus.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and Tableau.
- Strong understanding of complex ETL processes.
- Familiarity with API and data integration solutions using Connect and SSIS.
Pay: $49 – $70 /hr.
