What You Will Be Doing:
We are seeking an experienced Security Analyst to join our Global Cyber Security Monitoring Team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, responding to, and triaging security alerts and events using advanced tools. You will also provide technical expertise in monitoring, enforcing security policies, and developing security procedures to ensure system protection and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and respond to security incidents involving malicious attacks, anomalies, malware, APT activity, unauthorized access, and data extraction.
- Utilize tools such as WAF, SIEM, UBA, AV, and firewalls to analyze security events and determine appropriate responses.
- Provide escalation support for complex security issues and recommend solutions.
- Develop security policies, programs, and procedures to support business objectives.
- Represent the Global Cyber Security team in meetings with other IT teams, business units, and external vendors.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced team members, and step into leadership roles as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field
- Advanced knowledge of network protocols, packet captures, security controls, and concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, WAF, EDR, vulnerability scanning)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong understanding of security best practices and industry standards
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field
- Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+, CEH, GIAC)
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
- Project management experience
- Experience working with cloud environments
Pay: $51.10 – $73 /hr.
