What You Will Be Doing:
We are seeking a highly skilled Program Governance Consultant to work closely with the VP of the Office of the CIO (OCIO) to assess, develop, and document the existing program governance processes. This role involves identifying pain points, proposing remediation strategies, and enhancing governance structures for the IT Foundation, Major Business Programs, and Integration Programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the VP OCIO and IT Leadership Team (ITLT) to establish a unified understanding of program categories and ensure proper assignment.
- Develop a governance matrix outlining the current meeting cadence for each program, aligning them within the categories: IT Foundation, Major Business Programs, and Integration Programs.
- Identify and document each program's executive steering committees or other governance forums.
- Analyze the information captured throughout the governance process, with a focus on status, risks, and issues.
- Document current state roles and responsibilities at each governance stage, identifying pain points and gaps.
- Partner with IT Finance and Project/Program leaders to document existing financial management processes and recommend improvements to align with governance timelines.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in program governance, particularly within IT environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to document processes clearly and identify areas for improvement.
- Experience collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Pay: $56 – $80 /hr.
