What You Will Be Doing:
The Process Field Engineer (PFE) provides on-site technical engineering support for construction activities throughout the project lifecycle. The PFE will be responsible for resolving technical installation issues, supporting commissioning activities, and ensuring adherence to mechanical codes and design documentation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support daily construction leadership and QA/QC activities.
- Develop and execute construction plans.
- Collaborate with design engineers and construction teams.
- Review and approve field RFIs.
- Provide input for construction status reviews and quality assurance procedures.
- Minimize client exposure and risk.
- Ensure project documentation is complete and accurate.
- Track hours, expenses, and project receivables.
- Support QA/QC and construction closeout activities.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of related project experience.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Experience supporting technical resolution throughout the construction/commissioning lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of utilities and building mechanical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively.
- Knowledge of Project Management, Building Design and Construction, Scheduling, Risk Analysis, and Cost Modeling.
- Proficiency in Information Technology tools.
- Understanding hazardous energy control procedures, lockout tagout procedures, process flow diagrams, process instrumentation diagrams, power system analysis, building automation systems, and more.
Pay: $35.70 – $51 /hr.
