What You Will Be Doing:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT PMO Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of critical IT projects aimed at enhancing our operational efficiency, customer service, and technological capabilities in the railcar services industry. The role involves establishing and maintaining project management standards, processes, and methodologies while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to prioritize projects and ensure successful outcomes. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project management practices and maximize business value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project management standards, processes, and methodologies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Establish project management frameworks, templates, and tools to support project planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize IT projects based on business objectives and resource availability.
  • Allocate resources effectively to support project initiatives, including personnel, budget, and technology.
  • Provide guidance and support to project managers and teams, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies for timely delivery.
  • Prepare and present project status reports, metrics, and analyses to senior leadership.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts within the IT PMO to enhance project management processes and tools.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the IT project management community.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging project management and IT technologies.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • X years of proven experience in project management, with a focus on IT projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining project management standards and methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, or Trello.
  • Knowledge of agile and traditional project management methodologies.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a data-driven decision-making approach.

Pay: $84,000 – $120,000 /yr.
