What You Will Be Doing:
The Cloud Data Engineering organization builds and delivers data assets supporting our Data Strategy and vision using the latest technologies in the Azure Cloud. We partner with Solution Teams across IT and the Data & Analytics organization to meet Business Intelligence, Reporting, and Data Science needs. We use Azure and Databricks to provide opportunities for skill development and career growth.
As the Cloud Data Engineering Department Manager of the Rental Domain, you will:
- Set strategic direction for the team
- Develop relationships with business leaders and IT teams
- Oversee team development and professional growth
- Understand business objectives, projects, and priorities
- Negotiate priorities and set expectations with senior business and IT leaders
- Build consensus on data asset and solution roadmaps
- Ensure project deadlines are met and high-quality code deployments are routine
- Work closely with the Data and Analytics organization to manage reporting, analytics, and data science needs
- Set strategic direction for the Cloud Data Engineering team’s Rental domain
- Collaborate with Business and IT Leaders on global data initiatives
- Manage teams performing data acquisition, integration, and serving applications
- Provide strategic communications on Data Engineering initiatives
- Gain executive support for Data Engineering solutions
- Build and extend relationships across IT to align solutions with IT strategy
- Negotiate vendor agreements for technology platforms and services
- Mentor and develop Cloud Data Engineering Team members
- Ensure security is incorporated into all decisions and daily responsibilities
Required Skills & Experience:
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- 8+ years of related IT experience
- 5+ years of success leading multiple teams within a large enterprise IT organization
- Excellent analytical skills and transformational strategy implementation
- Proven leadership of large application development teams
- Knowledge of data engineering concepts and trends
- Proven leadership, results orientation, and self-motivation
- Excellent relationship-building skills within the executive landscape
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to envision new technologies and solutions
- High degree of collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to direct Project Scope, Requirements Gathering, and Change Management
- Experience presenting at the executive level
- Strong mentoring and development skills for IT professionals
- Proficient knowledge of project management concepts
- Commitment to incorporating security into all decisions and responsibilities
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field
Note:
- This position offers a hybrid work environment with on-site presence as needed at our Lakeside and/or Clayton Corporate HQ campus locations in St. Louis, MO
Pay: $161,000 – $230,000 /yr.
