Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented IT Department Manager – Cloud Data Engineering – Application Service Delivery. What You Will Be Doing:

The Cloud Data Engineering team builds and supports the data assets and APIs in the Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) used by strategic solutions such as Greenlight, Game Plan, 1RM, and more. These data assets are used by Data & Analytics to build Reporting, Analytics, and Data Science solutions for the business. We are creating a new team within Cloud Data Engineering to deliver top-of-the-line support for these critical capabilities. This opens an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking, highly resilient, customer service-focused, and inspirational leader for the IT Department Manager role leading the Cloud Data Engineering Application Service Delivery.

The Cloud Data Engineering team currently includes six Domain teams focused on building data assets and APIs to support numerous business areas including Rental, Revenue Management, Vehicle and Marketing, Mobility, and Business Administration. As new capabilities are created by these teams, they will be transitioned to the new Support team to ensure high performance SLAs are met for the business. The Cloud Data Engineering Application Service Delivery will partner with the Domain and Data Engineering DevOps teams to ensure successful transition of solutions.

As the IT Department Manager for this new team, you will define the organization structure and improve support processes, procedures, and staffing. Key additional responsibilities include:

  • Building a geographically diverse team to provide 24/7 solution support
  • Managing support incidents and alerts with proper priority and response
  • Resolving issues quickly to minimize business impact
  • Ensuring proper escalation and communication for incidents
  • Performing root cause analysis and problem resolution
  • Publishing regular health reporting on EDL applications
  • Partnering with Domain Teams and Data Engineering DevOps for monitoring and tracking performance metrics
  • Ensuring EDL infrastructure components are current and supported by vendors
  • Working on small to medium-sized Product Optimization efforts for EDL solutions
  • Handling service requests for data fixes and ad hoc business requests
  • Tracking and remediating EDL application security vulnerabilities
  • Providing leadership and support for compliance and audit activities
  • Overseeing team development and supporting career aspirations
  • Building relationships with counterparts in other IT Solution teams

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and responsibilities
  • 8+ years of related experience
  • 5+ years of success leading teams within a large enterprise IT organization
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills supporting complex solutions
  • Proven leadership supporting complex solutions with high volume mission-critical workloads
  • Knowledge of data engineering concepts and trends
  • Proven leadership, results orientation, self-motivation, and customer service focus
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with all levels of the organization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High degree of collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent high-impact incidents
  • Knowledge and experience with EM data across multiple domains
  • Strong mentoring and development skills for IT professionals
  • Strong knowledge of incident and problem management practices
  • Commitment to security and compliance

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field

Note:

  • This position offers a hybrid work environment with on-site presence as needed at our Lakeside and/or Clayton Corporate HQ campus locations in St. Louis, MO

Pay: $161,000 – $230,000 /yr.
