What You Will Be Doing:
The Field Safety Advisor oversees the work authorization process and monitors job site safety. This role involves ensuring compliance with the Project Site Safety and Health Plan, managing safety communications, and participating in incident investigations and corrective actions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead safety initiatives and promote a proactive safety culture on-site.
- Implement and communicate the Project Site Safety Plan effectively.
- Coordinate with NPE Field Management and keep the Project Safety Manager and Director informed of safety issues.
- Promote safe practices through various interactions with the workforce.
- Contribute to the development and management of risk assessments.
- Assist with contractor onboarding, safety reporting, and compliance monitoring.
- Participate in safety meetings and pre-construction planning.
- Administer and assess the daily CMRP/PTW Process and contribute to incident investigations.
- Ensure adherence to Site Safety Programs and SAF-072 Guidelines.
- Perform daily workplace monitoring, verify training documentation, and facilitate monthly performance reviews.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe working practices with contractors.
- Report and manage incidents and provide initial care to injured persons.
- Secure workplaces during incident investigations and escalate safety issues as needed.
Working Relationships:
- Engage with the Project Safety Director, Safety Advisors, Project Leadership, Contractor Supervisors, and Engineering Support Representatives.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of construction-related experience or a Safety Degree with 5+ years of experience.
- OSHA 30 Certification
Desired Skills & Experience:
- OSHA 500/510 Certification and accredited safety certifications.
- Advanced safety culture experience.
- Strong computer skill
Pay: $53.63 – $76.61 /hr.
