What You Will Be Doing:

Key Responsibilities:
- The Data Services team is responsible for curating and providing access to data assets for internal and external consumers. As we implement a cloud-based modern architecture, we aim to create a next-generation services layer to expose data in a scalable, secure way. We seek an integration engineer well-versed in AWS serverless components for RESTful API development.
- Implement software engineering best practices in API design and development.
- Focus on Python, Lambda, and API Gateway for RESTful API development.
- Participate in design sessions, code reviews, and system testing.
- Deliver high-quality, extendable, and reusable service components.
- Provide viable recommendations for new solutions and refine processes.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and first point of contact for integrating with data assets.
- Collaborate with management to ensure security compliance during audits.
- Share on-call responsibilities as part of a team rotation.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Must currently reside in one of the following states: AL, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MI, MO, NC, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, or WV.
- 3+ years of experience in Python.
- Proficient in RESTful web services, AWS Lambda, and API Gateway.
- Knowledge of API security frameworks, token management, and user access control including AWS Cognito/Azure, OAuth, JWT, and OpenAPI.
- Experience querying a variety of data sources including APIs, RDBMSs, and document stores.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of Java.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field.
- AWS Certifications: Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect (Associate), Developer (Associate).
- Experience in CI/CD framework and creating/modifying CI pipelines using GIT (Bitbucket preferred).
- Experience with event-based services like SQS, and SNS for data integration patterns with applications.
Pay: $56 – $80 /hr.
