What You Will Be Doing:

As an Engineer 2 – Dynatrace, you will leverage your technical expertise to solve business problems and serve as a subject matter expert. This role involves evaluating technology's effectiveness, gathering requirements, conducting testing, performing research, and making recommendations for improvements. You will collaborate with various teams to identify end-user requirements and specifications for application performance monitoring, develop monitoring solutions, automate workflows, and ensure high-quality solutions that meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementation and Configuration: Implement and configure Dynatrace Application Performance Monitoring (APM) solutions across various environments. Set up dashboards, alerts, and reports to monitor application performance.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze application performance data collected by Dynatrace to identify potential issues and areas for improvement. Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Use Dynatrace tools to troubleshoot and resolve application performance issues. Coordinate with other IT teams for issue resolution.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the Dynatrace implementation and recommend improvements.
  • CI/CD Pipeline: Assist in automating the CI/CD pipeline where possible.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience with Dynatrace, including developing custom dashboards, alerts, and reports.
  • Proven experience with Dynatrace APM tools.
  • Strong understanding of application performance management concepts.
  • Experience managing/modifying user permissions via management zones.
  • Ability to identify application performance improvement opportunities and create corresponding monitoring and alerts.
  • Experience measuring, analyzing, and reporting license consumption of new and existing configurations.
  • Highly collaborative with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to present technical data to non-technical audiences, including leadership.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software products.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Dynatrace certification.
  • Experience with Dynatrace Runtime Application Protection, configuring SRGs and GRAIL.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based tooling, scripting, and monitoring.
  • Familiarity with application-build tooling and development practices.
  • Java software development experience.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Experience with code scanning and vulnerability analysis.
  • Experience working with AWS.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tooling and applications.
  • Working knowledge of unit testing.
  • Experience with the Atlassian Suite or other DevOps application suites.
  • Experience with application profiling skills (Core Java, Thread Dumps, etc.).
  • Experience with middleware technologies (Tomcat, WebLogic, Adobe AEM).

Pay: $51.10 – $73 /hr.
