What You Will Be Doing:
As a Data Steward, you will be responsible for analyzing datasets across multiple data warehouses based on GCP, Azure, and SAP BW platforms, ensuring the quality and integrity of organizational data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to establish data stewardship activities such as analyzing requirements, building specification documents, coordinating with implementation teams, and performing data validations and UATs. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong experience with SAP BW and SQL, along with significant exposure to data domains in Commercial, SCM, Planning, Finance, Manufacturing, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze data models in SAP BW and derive business insights.
- Validate Azure Lakehouse database views and create data integration mapping specifications.
- Ensure that data models follow data governance guidelines.
- Conduct data profiling and analysis to identify data anomalies and inconsistencies.
- Assist in development tasks, perform data validations, and support production deployments in GCP.
- Prepare business test scenarios and UAT test cases.
- Support development, platform, and UAT teams on requirement clarification.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and database best practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- 4-6 years of experience with SAP BW; GCP Big Query is preferred.
- Proficiency in data analysis and data profiling techniques.
- Familiarity with data quality management concepts and tools.
- Experience with data warehouse platforms such as SAP BW and GCP, or similar.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder collaboration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a highly organized and structured manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, multi-priority environment.
Pay: $63 – $90 /hr.
