What You Will Be Doing:

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Manager to support a major expansion project in Jefferson, WI. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale CapEx projects within the food or industrial manufacturing industry. This role requires a hands-on approach, with the ability to oversee all site construction activities, ensuring adherence to safety, schedule, and budget constraints.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all site construction activities, serving as the primary point of contact.
  • Utilize strong communication skills to inform engineering and plant staff of construction and safety activities.
  • Prepare and support EWO’s, EVM, QIS tools for project cost reporting via SAP.
  • Collaborate with clients and contractors to resolve technical and non-technical issues.
  • Manage internal and contract resources involved in pre-design, construction, and engineering.
  • Track and maintain NPE Procured Field Equipment and Assets.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work site, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Coordinate schedules and ensure all work is planned and executed according to the contract schedule.
  • Lead weekly planning meetings to determine access times for construction activities.
  • Provide daily and weekly reports to the Project Engineering Manager (PEM).

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive experience managing projects through all phases of construction.
  • Relevant certifications: PMP, PMI, GAC, CCM, CMCI, CMAA.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • CPR and Fall Protection certifications.
  • Minimum 15 years of construction management experience on multi-million dollar CapEx projects in the food or industrial manufacturing industry.
  • At least 10 years of experience in two out of the following project types: Civil, Structural, Architectural.
  • More than 3 years of experience with software applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Cx Alloy, and others).

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Experience overseeing the build-out of trailer drop lots in manufacturing/industrial environments.
  • Knowledge of civil engineering and permitting/zoning.
  • Proficiency in Information Technology and construction management tools (BIM 360, SharePoint, OneDrive, Cx Alloy, Pet Pro, SAP, MS Office Suite).
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, stairs, and walk extensively on construction sites.
  • Capability to work independently with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of Project Management, Building Design and Construction, Scheduling, Cost Modeling, and Risk Analysis.
  • Must provide own steel toe shoes; other safety gear will be provided

Pay:  $60.90 – $87 /hr.
