What You Will Be Doing:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to support the Jefferson expansion project. The ideal candidate must have strong MEP construction experience with multi-million dollar capital expenditure projects in the food or industrial manufacturing industry. The Construction Manager (CM) will be the point of contact for all site construction activities, providing leadership, communication, and technical expertise to ensure successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all site construction activities for CapEx projects or one large project, ensuring high-level communication with engineering, plant staff, and safety teams.
  • Prepare and support EWOs, EVM, and QIS tools, providing input for project cost reports via SAP.
  • Resolve field technical issues, collaborating with clients and contractors to deliver both technical and non-technical solutions.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and review process equipment and building drawing packages.
  • Manage internal, contract, and other resources involved in pre-design, construction, and engineering.
  • Supervise, assign, schedule, coordinate, and evaluate contractor work.
  • Report issues related to schedule, cost, progress, safety, and design to Project Engineering Managers, Plant Project Stakeholders, and Contractor Managers.
  • Manage Financial, Safety, and Schedule Key Performance Indicators and propose alternatives if necessary.
  • Review and update SAP project details, Microsoft Project, PETPRO, BIM 360, and CXAlloy as required.
  • Organize asset tracking, tagging, and project close-out activities to determine depreciation and final cost transfer.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work site, with safety being the top priority.
  • Ensure project execution, inspection, and Quality acceptance per relevant specifications, drawings, scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Coordinate, drive, and maintain project schedules within the field, ensuring work is planned for at least 6 weeks.
  • Prepare and maintain project-specific EWO and CO Documentation.
  • Manage Field Inputs, RFIs, and Submittals through CX Alloy or available tools.
  • Provide daily and weekly reports to the Project Engineering Manager.
  • Conduct weekly planning meetings with the plant engineer or designate to determine access times for construction activities.
  • Lead the shared FIELD support team consisting of various on-site supporting project resources.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 15+ years of Construction Management experience, with strong MEP construction experience in multi-million dollar capex projects within the food and/or industrial manufacturing industry.
  • PMP, PMI, GAC, CCM, CMCI, CMAA or similar certification.
  • OSHA 30, CPR, Fall protection certifications.
  • Experience managing projects through all phases of construction.
  • Proficiency in software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Cx Alloy, and others.
  • Thorough understanding of Information Technology, including BIM 360, File Sharing Systems, Pet Pro, SAP, MS Windows, Adobe Acrobat, and MS Office Suite programs.
  • Strong decision-making abilities and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to handle numerous technical, commercial, and administrative tasks.
  • Thorough understanding of Project Management, Building Design and Construction, Scheduling, Cost Modeling, and Risk Analysis.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs, and walk extensively through a construction site.
  • Steel toe shoes required (to be provided at own expense); other safety gear will be provided by the facility.

Pay: $61.08 – $87.26 /hr.
