What You Will Be Doing:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager (CM) to lead site construction activities for a major CapEx project in the food and industrial manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate must possess strong MEP construction experience on multi-million dollar projects. The CM will be the primary contact for all construction activities, utilizing high-level communication skills to keep engineering and plant staff informed on safety and construction activities. Technical expertise in preparing and supporting EWO’s, EVM, and QIS tools is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all site construction activities and manage financial, safety, and schedule KPIs.
  • Prepare and support EWO’s, EVM, and QIS tools for project cost reports via SAP.
  • Collaborate with clients and contractors to resolve field technical issues.
  • Lead and coordinate with NPE, vendors, contractors, project staff, and factory staff.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and review process equipment and building drawing packages.
  • Manage resources involved in pre-design, construction, and engineering activities.
  • Track, maintain, and transfer NPE procured field equipment and assets.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and orderly work site, with safety being the top priority.
  • Directly accountable for execution, inspection, and quality acceptance of the project.
  • Maintain project schedules and ensure all work is planned and completed on time.
  • Provide daily and weekly reports to the PEM, including critical project updates.
  • Conduct weekly planning meetings with the plant engineer to coordinate construction activities.
  • Lead the field support team, including schedulers, safety officers, cost controllers, and expeditors.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive experience in managing projects through all construction phases.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, PMI, GAC, CCM, CMCI, and CMAA.
  • OSHA 30, CPR, and Fall Protection certifications.
  • 15 years of construction management experience with strong MEP construction expertise in the food/industrial manufacturing industry.
  • Over 3 years of experience with software applications like Microsoft Word, Excel, Cx Alloy, and others.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Proficiency in Information Technology, including BIM 360, File Sharing Systems (SharePoint, OneDrive), Cx Alloy, Pet Pro, SAP, MS Windows, Adobe Acrobat, and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Access, One Note).
  • Strong decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough understanding of Project Management, Building Design and Construction, Scheduling, Cost Modeling, and Risk Analysis.
  • Physically able to climb ladders, and stairs, and walk extensively on a construction site.
  • Must provide steel toe shoes; and other safety gear provided by the facility.

Pay:  $60.90 – $87 /hr.
