What You Will Be Doing:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Source-to-Pay (S2P) process across North America. In this role, you will drive operational excellence and process improvements within the Accounts Payable function, contribute to financial reporting, and support implementation projects. Your expertise will help ensure timely payments and enhance the overall financial position of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement data analytics solutions for the Accounts Payable team, focusing on improving financial outcomes and payment timeliness.
- Analyze payment data using various monitoring and reporting tools to support corporate financial reporting.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to implement process improvements across the S2P end-to-end, utilizing root cause analysis to drive efficiencies.
- Address and resolve escalations related to invoicing and payment issues, working with internal stakeholders, BPO partners, and vendors.
- Assist the Accounts Payable Supervisor with daily operations and serve as an escalation point for operational issues.
- Collaborate on continuous improvement activities, including design, impact assessment, testing, training, and operational execution within the payables function.
- Ensure adherence to risk and control processes to mitigate internal and external risks, including fraud.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or related finance, accounting, or procurement roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, macros) and/or Access.
- Experience leading process improvement projects and using reporting/data analytics tools such as Power BI or BusinessObjects.
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems and experience partnering with external service providers is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years of experience leading process improvement projects.
- Experience with Oracle and external service providers.
Pay: $16.01 – $22.87 /hr.
