President and Chief Operating Officer, Technology Partners

As President and Chief Operating Officer of Technology Partners, I find myself making multiple, business-critical decisions every single day. And even though these moments add up to take large chunks of my time, I never want to shortchange how our people feel about working at Technology Partners.

Yesterday, we were named a Top Workplace for the 5th consecutive year by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. This recognition never gets redundant for our leadership team. We take pride in building a culture of respect and integrity. In fact, a steadfast mission to help people sits firmly at the center of our business model.

When we launched Technology Partners 25 years ago, we asked ourselves a question: "How can we make a big impact on the people in our region?" This includes both our internal employees and consultants.

Early in my career, I was a consultant for some very large companies, including Mastercard, Edward Jones, McDonnell Douglas, Citicorp, and Southwestern Bell. Along my journey, I grew to understand that meaningful and interesting work, high compensation, and flexibility are the keys to keeping people engaged.

Corporate America is Facing a Talent Shortage

Hiring and retention are hard right now. This is no big secret. Attrition is through the roof for many companies as they struggle to retain top talent. This makes our Top Workplaces recognition even more special.

When launching Technology Partners, we decided to put our people first. We understand that happy employees and consultants make happy clients, and we're proud of our numerous workplace and talent satisfaction awards, as well as our focus on recognizing our employees for their hard work.

We also take this people-first approach to the community. We are passionate about our LIFT program, which helps community members meet their basic needs, supports education initiatives, and grows potential through economic development.

When you truly start putting your people first, you find consistent success.

We are not a perfect company. But the fact that our employees continue to rank us as a Top Workplace during one of the most challenging eras of employment is both encouraging and fulfilling.
