After spending time with Apple, Google, and American Airlines, Jonathan McKinley joined Technology Partners in March as a Software Technical Lead – and he fit right in.
His past roles with American Airlines focused on data science, data engineering, and flight ops software engineering. Prior to American Airlines, he was part of the Google Tech Exchange and a Location Motion and Wireless Software Engineer Intern at Apple.

How did you get started in software development?
I’ve been coding since I was in middle school, so technology has always been part of my career plans. I really started getting into data science and engineering in college – I graduated with a master’s in data science from The University of Texas at Austin – and have gone further into that sector with every job.
Can you describe the culture of Technology Partners?

I’ve only worked at large, global technology companies in the past so working for Technology Partners has been extremely rewarding. If you have enough factual evidence to support your recommendations, you can be implementing it the next week.
