Bio: Dr. Hossain Marandi is a nationally recognized pediatric physician executive with more than 25 years of experience leading complex, integrated health systems. He has served in President and Chief Executive Officer roles within three large pediatric healthcare systems and is recognized for his ability to drive consistent positive financial and operating performance and advance strategic growth in highly competitive markets.

Dr. Marandi currently serves as President of Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri and System Vice President of Pediatric Services for SSM Health. He oversees strategic direction, operational performance, physician enterprise alignment, and long-term growth initiatives across the pediatric platform. He is leading a transformative strategy to redefine pediatric care across the system, including a more than $750 million redevelopment of the Grand Avenue campus into a premier destination for children's healthcare. This master facility redesign includes the construction of a new 234 bed children’s hospital and a fully comprehensive pediatric outpatient pavilion. Under his leadership, the system has maintained strong operating margins, advanced national quality rankings, and strengthened its academic and physician enterprise integration.

Throughout his career, Dr. Marandi has partnered effectively with governing boards, physician leaders, academic institutions, and community stakeholders to align mission, strategy, and performance. He has successfully led large-scale capital investments, organizational integration initiatives, and philanthropic partnerships that have expanded access to high-quality pediatric care and strengthened institutional growth. His experience spans faith-based, community, and academic health systems, providing him with a broad perspective on distinct governance and operating models.

Dr. Marandi earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Tennessee and his Master of Business Administration from the University of South Florida. He is board certified in Pediatrics, a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and serves as a Clinical Associate Professor at Saint Louis University, Michigan State University, and the University of South Florida.
