Bio: Brandon Bettis was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ and graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Justice Studies. Upon graduation, Brandon entered the United States Army and received a commission as an Infantry Officer in 2006.
In 2009, 1LT Bettis deployed to the Korengal Valley, AFG as the Executive Officer of B Co, 2-12 IN and later served as the Afghan Security Forces LNO in Kunar Province, AFG. After returning home to his wife and 18-month-old daughter, Brandon moved to Fort Benning, GA for the Captains Career Course, then later moved to Fort Bliss, TX to take command of B Co, 1-35 AR.
CPT Bettis was then selected to serve in the 3rd US Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) just outside Washington, DC. There, he was an operations officer in charge of coordinating high visibility missions such as the Army Ten Miler, Presidential Wreath Laying Ceremonies for Memorial Day and Veterans Day, State Funeral Operations, and the 2016 Presidential Inauguration.
In 2016, Brandon and his family left active duty and moved home to Arizona. Brandon still serves in the Army Reserves as a Major with the Selective Service System.
With his active-duty career complete, Brandon found a new purpose in life and now serves others as a holistic financial planner. Brandon is the “Director of Client Enrichment” on a team of advisors and their focus is education, planning, investing, and creating a better life for their clients. He spends his time creating relationships that foster client partnerships, mentoring transitioning service members and first responders, buying hair care products, and serving as a Team Leader with Mighty Oaks.
Brandon and Erin met in the ASU Marching Band and have been together for 22 years. Together they have two daughters, Whitney (17) and Kennedy (14). They live in Peoria, AZ.
