Something Extra:
Episode 201: Redefining What it Means to Dress for Success with Lisa Hu

If you were to transition into a new industry, what would it be? For many, the leap from corporate finance to fashion may seem to be too big of a stretch. However, for Lisa Hu, Founder of Lux & Nyx, the decision started with a desire to create a handbag that fit the pace of life of a high-achieving woman. Like her purse design, this episode will speak to those of you who are fast-moving and often on the go.

Bio: Lisa Hu is an entrepreneur who founded Lux & Nyx to empower high-achieving women around the globe. Since launching Lux & Nyx, she has been featured in national outlets including Forbes, Washington Post, the Google Economic Impact Report and NPR Marketplace.

Lisa is an ex-corporate finance executive and CPA, who launched Lux & Nyx a little over four years ago. Lisa and her team have survived and thrived through the pandemic, now having sold to customers in 22 different countries.

Lisa founded Lux & Nyx with the following mission:

“LUX & NYX EMPOWERS HIGH ACHIEVING WOMEN WITH MULTIFUNCTIONAL AND FASHIONABLE BAGS AND ACCESSORIES THAT HELP THEM MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD.”

Lisa's Something Extra: I think leaders need to think through vulnerability and building trust that way. It is absolute necessary for companies to build trust.
