Without advancements in technology, our business would struggle to stay relevant and thrive. Nevertheless, technologists do not tend to receive recognition for how extensively their solutions help people every day. Frank Bell, Founder of InspireCIO, has created a national community to recognize IT leaders who steer the ship and do things right. In this episode, Frank dives into the importance of cultivating rich relationships and doing life with people you love.

Bio: The idea of InspireCIO was sparked by observing leaders interact and instinctively making each other better. The art of leadership seems more caught than taught, and strong connections with talented leaders is a proven strategy for success. For over 20 years, InspireCIO has grown as a trusted place where leading CIOs develop and grow relationships with others facing similar challenges. The result is a member-led peer leadership network where executives share ideas and best practices, solve problems, and create enormous value for their organizations.

In 1993, Frank started Intellinet and led the consulting and software development firm for 25 years, winning recognition as a two-time Inc 500, Microsoft Partner of the Year, and Best Place to Work. In 1998, Intellinet presented the first Georgia CIO of the Year® Award. The annual program became the Georgia CIO Leadership Association (GeorgiaCIO), a member-led, non-commercial professional organization serving Georgia’s CIO community. In 2014, Jonathan Frye and Frank joined forces to expand the CIO of the Year® ORBIE® Awards and launch InspireCIO.

Frank is a board member for the Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta and involved in many civic and industry organizations. He has served on the Board of Advisors to the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Buckhead Coalition, Young Presidents Organization (YPO), and the High Tech Prayer Breakfast Host Committee. He has served as a Trustee of Wesleyan School, a founding director of the Private Bank of Buckhead, and on the Stetson University Business School board, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing. Frank resides in Roswell, Georgia with his wife Amy, three labradoodles, and occasionally their five grown children.
