BKD Managing Partner, Wendy Henry, has something to say about not just knowing your piece in the company, but taking time to be intentional to know the pieces of those around you. Bio: Wendy is managing partner of BKD’s St. Louis and Decatur offices. She oversees the administration, planning and operations for approximately 125 personnel serving more than 4,500 business and individual clients.
She has more than 30 years of experience providing audit and consulting services to associations and membership organizations, foundations, religious organizations, colleges and universities, health care providers and other not-for-profit and charitable organizations.
Wendy is Chair of BKD’s SKY Council. SKY is a firmwide initiative to emphasize and strengthen diversity in our firm that focuses on attracting, retaining and developing diverse leaders.
She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Missouri Society of CPAs.
Active in the community, Wendy serves on the boards of the United Way of Greater St. Louis, St. Louis Zoo Association, where she is vice president, and Mercy East Communities Association. She is a member of the Regional Business Council, where she serves on the executive committee and co-chairs the mentor network. She also serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council of the Trulaske College of Business for the University of Missouri. Wendy was chair of the 2012 American Heart Association’s Go Red Luncheon. She was honored as one of the 2011 YWCA Corporate Leaders of Distinction and St. Louis Business Journal 2012 Most Influential Business Women.
She is a 1983 magna cum laude graduate of Illinois College, Jacksonville, with a B.S. degree in business administration with an accounting emphasis.
