Bio: Maria Russo started her role as chief information officer at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis on May 1. She oversees information technology (IT) strategy, management and delivery for the School of Medicine and serves as assistant vice chancellor and deputy university chief information officer.

Before coming to the University, Russo was the executive director for Systems Integration with Kaiser Permanente. She has 20 years of experience in the health-care industry, most spent with large health systems.
