What You Will Be Doing:
You will direct and manage the execution of new software releases for our VITEK 2 System, from the analysis to the testing in an agile/iterative environment. Drive estimation activities with the team to establish scope and timelines for the projects. Encourages best practices in software engineering and lead the utilization of advanced practices, methods including XP, TDD. Facilitate meetings and present to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Collaborate with other VITEK SW Project Lead and managers on ressource allocation, project priorities and development practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related scientific discipline, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 or more years of experience of in software development with a first project management experience.
- Team leading ability, shown by having led a team to work co-operatively with others, continually reviewing objectives and priorities, and accepting collective responsibility.
- Influencing skills, evidencing ability to gain agreement or acceptance through influence, persuasion or negotiation.
- Organizational skills, demonstrating the ability to establish plans of action to effectively ensure achievement of results.
- Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience in a regulated environment as a member of a product-development organization (medical-device or biotech industry)
- Ability to work in diverse geographic, cultural and cross-functional environments.
- Preferred but not required Java / Full Stack/ Object oriented development
- Experience with JIRA
