What You Will Be Doing:
You will represent the company to our grower and retailer customers in a professional manner consistent with our brand: in-person, email and telephone calls. Partner with the UX Design Team to identify and prioritize research needs and outcomes. Select and use appropriate research methods and tools based on research needs and goals. Coordinate the logistics of executing usability studies. Moderate 1:1 and group panels sessions. Manage customer recruitment based on data metrics and track participation and incentive allocation. Document, compile, synthesize and communicate research findings and actionable recommendations to help inform decision making. Conduct heuristic evaluations and regular usability audits. Collaborate with designers, content strategists, product managers, engineers and data scientists. Constructively contribute to design critiques and reviews.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years experience in applied product, including web, tablet and mobile
- Ability to balance and synthesize quantitative data and qualitative feedback
- Ability to frame, organize and communicate your work and help others understand how it fits into the design process, including non-designers
- Bachelors degree in Research, Human-Computer Interaction Design or other relevant fields
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience in applying a variety of research methods from core customer research to formal usability testing to co-design sessions and design sprints
- Advocate for UX research and an interest in teaching others how to use research
- Experience with online remote research tools
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to speak about your work with measured passion and data
- Energy amplifier – things get better when you enter the room
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present work to large groups
