What You Will Be Doing:

The Company is seeking a visionary Senior Engineering Leader to join our team and play a crucial role in shaping the future of agriculture. This leader will steer software development teams crafting innovative prototypes that drive new business ideas and solutions that empower farmers globally. You will leverage your leadership and influencing skills to work alongside product managers, agile coaches, and the wider engineering department to nurture a culture focused on delivering exceptional value, achieving strategic business goals, and positively impacting the agricultural industry. This role allows you to lead high-performing teams, build innovative solutions, and grow your career within a dynamic and impactful organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead visionary innovation: Guide teams to create solutions that align with DFS's strategic goals, fostering a digital-first mindset and strong leadership culture.
  • Build strong relationships: Cultivate strategic partnerships across DFS and externally to propel project success.
  • Champion excellence: Deliver high-quality products, advocate for technical best practices, and ensure compliance and privacy standards.
  • Drive teamwork with Agile best practices: Coach your team to use proven methods that keep them motivated and deliver their best work.
  • Drive results: Manage budgets, represent the connected systems community, and provide valuable insights to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Technical Expertise: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (CS, IS, EE) and 10+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Proven Leadership: Experience leading and influencing technology projects, fostering high-performing agile teams.
  • Technical Leadership: Deep understanding of programming languages and full-stack principles, guiding teams for high-quality software delivery across platforms (Web/Mobile).
  • Collaborative Visionary: Promotes innovation, autonomy, and thrives in ambiguity.
  • Communication & Change: Excellent communication (written & verbal) and adept at navigating organizational change.
  • Cloud Expertise: Proven ability to architect, implement, and manage secure, scalable cloud solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP, leveraging expertise in serverless, containers, and infrastructure as code tools.

Pay:  $91 – $130 /hr.

We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we are not able to provide sponsorship at this time or accept candidates who would require a corp-to-corp agreement.
