What You Will Be Doing:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer – Industrial Services (IS) to join our CAPEX department in Crete, NE. This role focuses on the design, construction, and start-up of Thermal (steam, hot water, cooling tower water, chill water), Refrigeration, Wastewater (drain and lift station design), Compressed Air, and HVAC for the CAPEX projects at our facility. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you'll ensure that these systems are designed, constructed, and started up efficiently, aligning with safety, product quality, and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for industrial services mechanical equipment, including steam systems, hot water systems, cooling tower systems, chill water systems, refrigeration systems, compressed air systems, industrial waste, and HVAC systems.
  • Provide detailed design support, construction validation, and start-up expertise.
  • Oversee the safe, reliable, and efficient installation and start-up of industrial services.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and internal requirements from design through operation.
  • Drive resource conservation and sustainability efforts within the facility.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering.
  • Knowledge of steam systems, hot water systems, cooling tower systems, chill water systems, refrigeration systems, compressed air systems, industrial waste, and HVAC systems.
  • Proficiency in project skills, including equipment specifications, sizing requirements, and managing third-party engineering consultants.
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, including experience in a manufacturing/factory environment and capital projects.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing environments, including utility departments, roofs, cooling towers, catwalks, and areas with extreme temperature variations.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs, with daily walking through a construction site.

Additional Requirements:

  • Steel-toe shoes are required (to be provided by the candidate at their own expense).
  • Local candidates are preferred, but relocation is an option.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.

Pay:  $60.90 – $87 /hr.
