What You Will Be Doing:

We seek a Senior Engineer with extensive experience in managing capital projects within the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing multi-million dollar projects, specifically in new manufacturing facilities or production line setups. This role will oversee all aspects of project execution, from concept to commissioning, with a primary focus on Utilities & Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop pre-project approval documents including project charter, management plan, and milestone schedules.
  • Monitor design progress and ensure adherence to project components and deliverables.
  • Coordinate bid package development and release for construction bidding.
  • Select contractors and contracting methods based on engineering methodologies.
  • Direct and execute installation, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Manage project scope and secure approvals for changes based on established methodologies.
  • Control project budget, providing cost forecasts and cash flow projections.
  • Maintain project milestone schedules as per project charter agreements.
  • Provide construction management and startup assistance as required.
  • Evaluate, select, and issue contracts for construction firms through bidding processes.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited University is required, a Master's Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Project Engineering Manager.
  • Experience in managing multi-million dollar manufacturing facilities or production line projects.
  • Proficiency in construction management, scheduling, cost planning, stakeholder communication, and capital project management.
  • Strong skills in managing contractors, bidding processes, startups, and commissioning.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing/factory environment.
  • Ability to work in various manufacturing environments and climatic conditions.
  • General understanding of utility design, installation, and operations best practices.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., P6 or Project), cost reporting, and Microsoft Excel

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs and perform daily walks through construction sites.
  • Steel-toe shoes are required, to be provided at your own expense.

Pay:  $60.90 – $87 /hr.
