Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented Senior Electrical & Automation (E&A) Specialist (148716). What You Will Be Doing:

The Sr. E&A Specialist must have proper expertise and knowledge to integrate power switch gear, automation components, transformers, and branch circuit protection with motors, valves, filters, and sensors into a high-quality system. The focus of the role will be supporting all phases of a project, including concept and research; estimating cost; component selection; network design; panel design; layout; purchasing; device troubleshooting; PLC programming; HMI tagging; and FAT support. You will be responsible for working with the team, and the vendors to hit the project timeline for a successful startup of the factory.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Review User Requirement Specifications (URS) and provide Electrical and Automation recommendations based on the Company’s standards.
  • Develop a scope of work in line with the Company’s guidelines and review bids accordingly.
  • Establish timelines and schedules to track project milestones, parts ordered, and vendor commitments.


  • Review and build electrical designs using AUTOCAD, adhering to Company standards.
  • Create electrical schematics, electrical calculations, and SISTEMA documentation.
  • Develop Pneumatic Designs for projects.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure Company standards are followed in control and MCC designs.
  • Create and review Bill of Materials (BOM) using electrical and pneumatic schematics.
  • Understand P&ID and work with valves and instruments related to process areas.
  • Build Functional Design Specifications (FDS) based on process descriptions in coordination with cross-functional teams.

PLC Programming:

  • Develop Process Control Descriptions (PCD) and Functional Design Specifications (FDS) for various equipment and machines.
  • Create PLC tagging using the Company’s S88 document.
  • Design PLC programs in Rockwell Studio 5000 and Siemens TIA.
  • Ensure NEAT toolbox 7 standards are followed where necessary.
  • Review and create communication exchange signals between PLCs.
  • Develop checklists for Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) in line with the Company’s guidelines.

HMI/SCADA Development:

  • Build HMI screens using Wonderware Software and NEAT 7.0 guidelines.
  • Develop a simulation plan to review various SCADA functionalities.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure intuitive HMI screens and SCADA controls.
  • Work with the operations team to achieve optimal performance.


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate E&A objectives for the factory.
  • Recommend and implement actions for smart and cohesive systems integration.
  • Lead standardization, cost-saving, and manufacturing process improvement initiatives.
  • Streamline engineering processes by creating Standard Operation Procedures (SOP).
  • Support process control and monitoring equipment software design, commissioning, testing, and corrective action.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical or Controls/Automation or mechatronics engineering roles required.
  • Proficient in PLC programming (Rockwell Studio 5000, Siemens TIA preferred).
  • Experience with HMI/SCADA development (Wonderware preferred).
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Team player with a collaborative approach.

Pay: $53.55 – $76.50 /hr.
