What You Will Be Doing
- Work in partnership with the PO, PM, and other BAs to understand the needs of business strategy leaders and users; learning to serve as the product subject matter expert (SME) resource for the development team to help make informed decisions on how best to maintain, enhance and/or integrate systems and data
- Translate and iteratively refine user requests into effective user stories
- Work in concert with software engineers to investigate feature impact and provide creative approaches to balance goals against constraints
- Build understanding of the technical strategy and system integrations to identify, communicate, and track product/departmental dependencies for features and user stories with support from the Product Owner and engineering team
- Develop relationship with stakeholders, working in coordination to optimize and enhance the portfolio of software assets
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) and engineering team to develop and maintain repeatable test strategies/testing plans based on acceptance criteria to enable successful sprint execution
- Support the delivery of incremental and continuous value to the end users and ensures the final implementation of features and capabilities delivers the expected user value
- Participate in Agile and Product Management team events such as backlog refinements, retrospectives, solution demos, and system demos.
- Document, enhance and promote analysis processes throughout the organization
- Advocate for continuous improvement on behalf of the customer
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience
- CBAP certification preferred
- Previous experience with Agile concepts (such as user story writing, Agile events, and backlog refinement)
- Proven experience in eliciting requirements and building test plans
- Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions
- Basic knowledge in generating process documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Troubleshooting skills to investigate, resolve and escalate issues
- Experience working with multiple concurrent projects and/or products with varying technologies, complexities and priorities while meeting deadlines
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with associates and leaders
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with UX Designers, UX Researchers, and Quality Assurance in a team environment
- Previous experience with data extraction and BI tools (SQL, Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience delivering solutions within the AWS ecosystem
- Experience with Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket
