What You Will Be Doing:
You will manage and optimize the flow of value through the Agile Release Train using various tools, such as the Program and Solution Kanban’s and other information radiators. Plan, facilitate and organize SAFe Program Increment planning and its communication. Facilitate PI Planning readiness by fostering a Continuous Exploration process which drives the synthesis of a Vision, a Roadmap, and Backlogs, and through Pre- and Post-PI Planning meetings Facilitate the PI planning event Summarize Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives. Share an agile mindset with a focus on Lean Agile principles and concentration on Systems thinking. Use negotiation skills. Contribute to the advancement and improvement of agile practices within the organization while supporting the APMO and the Product and Agile Center of Excellence. Understands which meaningful metrics to track, how to interpret them, and how to course correct when the numbers are telling you things are headed out of bounds. Understand and operate within Lean Budgets and ensure adherence to Guardrails Facilitate System Demos. Help manage risks and dependencies Escalate and track impediments. Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks. Work with the scrum teams, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational project or product teams. Work with Agile coaches and other Scrum Masters to grow within their roles. Facilitate Program level events including PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, Inspect & Adapt, etc. Collaborate and facilitate with other RTE’s on any risks, impediments and dependencies across product teams, areas and Agile Release Trains. Aligns with and works in tandem with Product Management on the planning and execution of product deliverables. Elevate Scrum Masters performance and mentor them to increase their teams’ understanding of Agile principles and practices. Provide a safe space which promotes relentless improvement and continuous learning. Guide and coach the scrum team on how to use agile practices and principles to deliver quality products and business value. Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets. Builds and supports high-performing Agile teams and Agile Release Trains. Provide an escalation point to Scrum Masters and negotiate and assist in facilitating solutions. Encourage collaboration between teams and System and Solution Architects/Engineering Work with Product and Solution Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment. Improve the flow of value through value streams by improving and assessing the practices. Assists with managing risks and dependencies and addressing critical bottlenecks. Assist tracking the execution of features and capabilities. Facilitate periodic synchronization meetings, including the Scrum of Scrums.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience required.
  • Agile or SAFe certifications highly preferred.
  • Experience delivering software via agile at scale (programs, product management, etc.)
  • Collaboration skills and the ability to influence
  • 5+ years of IS experience leading projects and/or programs in a professional environment
  • Release Train Engineer and SAFe experience a plus
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of IS technologies and practices
  • Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycles (Agile, DevOps, Scrum, Kanban,etc.)
  • Experience using Jira, Clarity, HP ALM (QC), or similar tools.
  • Leadership and management experience preferred.
  • Excellent people and product management skills.
  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
