What You Will Be Doing:
You will be responsible for defining mid-term (6 months) product strategy along with product OKRs (Objectives and Key Results), strategic initiatives and key milestones. You will be responsible for building the product roadmap including product releases (program increments). You will gain a clear understanding of long-term (12 months) program and platform strategy. You will be responsible for leading continuous roadmap review discussions with key stakeholders to prioritize and plan future release. You will also be responsible for understanding and capturing business process and customer needs in the form of epics, features and stories on the product roadmap and backlog. You will own proactive communication of development roadblocks and mitigation options to business stakeholders. You will partner closely with software engineers to execute each release. You will be responsible for proactively identifying and removing roadblocks in the development process to ensure on-time completion of product releases. You will be accountable for delivery and execution of specific product(s) within the Digital Commerce portfolio. You will lead creation of sprint goals and priorities. You will be responsible for executing sprint planning. You will also be responsible for maintaining prioritized product backlog. You will be responsible for gathering and documenting detailed requirements in the form of user stories. You will also be responsible for driving best practices in product development such as continuous backlog refinement, writing good acceptance criteria, identifying definition of ready and done for stories. You will be responsible for ensuring completed features meet business requirements and customer needs. You will also be responsible for implementation and tracking of scrum metrics with development teams (Sprint velocity, burn down charts, etc.). You will lead sprint reviews in collaboration with development team to demo features completed in each sprint. You will gain a good understanding of system landscape, architecture and integrations. You will lead ideation sessions across development and design to define solutions as needed. You will proactively identify opportunities for continuous process improvements. You will also be responsible for collaborating with UI/UX designers to ensure designs meet business requirements and release timelines. You will partner closely with IT cross-functional teams such as data, platform, ERP and other product teams to clearly communicate requirements, dependencies and timelines. You will also be responsible for maintaining status of product features and releases on the product roadmap. You will ensure communication of status reporting to key business stakeholders, leadership and program management team as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in a product owner/ product manager or similar role
- Experience with agile software development methodology
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with B2B or B2C ecommerce implementation is a plus
- Educational Requirements: Bachelors degree in Management Information System, Computer Science or similar professional experience
