Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented Packaging Engineer (148095). Do you have experience with Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering ? Let us help you make your next big career move a reality!

What You Will Be Doing:

  • 90% – Provide Packaging Engineering design and review for capital projects (Wet, Dry, or Treats Engineering Standards) including detailed phases of the packaging engineering work, and related documentation. Requires coordination of work by outside consultants and suppliers, broad knowledge of precedents in the specialty area, and an understanding of principles and practices in related specialties. Requires strong communications skills and ability to perform well on teams. Ability to complete block flow diagrams, v-curves, process flow diagrams, conveyor accumulation calculations, packaging line balancing design, basic process of operation descriptions, P&IDs, and equipment specifications.
  • 10% – Provide packaging engineering technical assistance to operating facilities. Includes planning/implementing investigation and analysis in problem areas or areas of opportunity for packaging improvement. Requires ability to collaborate with and contribute to cross functional teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Preferred – Mechanical, Industrial, Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience in the following required; 7+ years experience preferred:

  1. Packaging design, packaging equipment, packaging instrumentation, manufacturing operations, and packaging engineering support roles in food, pharmaceutical or consumer products industries. Experience with packaging equipment and packaging line design preferred.
  2. Team oriented with excellent troubleshooting skills.
  3. Experience with industrializing new packaging technologies.
  4. Experience with block flow diagrams, v-curves, process flow diagrams, conveyor accumulation calculations, basic process of operation descriptions, P&IDs, packaging line balancing design, and packaging equipment specifications.
