What You Will Be Doing:
We are seeking a highly capable Digital Commander Center (DCC) Agent to join our team in a day shift server role. As a DCC Agent, you will play a crucial role in managing the daily operations and providing support for our core enterprise infrastructure. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents for Windows, Linux, and HPUX servers. You’ll also be responsible for monitoring, alerting, and triaging network-related events and supporting our Storage and Data Protection systems. Your exceptional customer service skills and technical expertise will be essential as you interact with customers and vendors to provide top-notch support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents related to Windows, Linux, and HPUX servers.
- Provide support for Ameren’s Storage and Data Protection systems, including file and system restores and storage-related issue triage.
- Utilize tools like Satellite, Ivanti, and Tanium to perform server patching.
- Support server infrastructure using VMware, RDP, DNS, and Ops Bridge monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a teamwork-oriented environment.
- Assist in various reporting and compliance activities to meet regulatory and safety requirements.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Preferred Associate’s Degree in a relevant field.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in server management and support.
- Strong knowledge of one or more of the following: Windows Server, Linux, Storage and Backup, VMware.
- Familiarity with the ServiceNow ticketing system is a plus.
- Preferred certifications such as MCSA, RHEL, VMware, or Dell.
- Proficiency in Customer Service, Decision Making, Enterprise Application Systems, Problem Solving, and Technical Troubleshooting.
- Sense of urgency and ability to work effectively within a team.
