What You Will Be Doing:

We're seeking a talented and innovative NLP/Information Retrieval Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will be pivotal in enhancing Large Language Models (LLMs) to provide more accurate, context-aware, and creatively curated responses with real-world applications.

As an NLP/Information Retrieval Scientist, you will develop and improve the usability and creativity of our LLM responses. You will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team of researchers and engineers to advance the technical aspects and bring real-world relevance and creativity into our language models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop software solutions to improve customer experience using the latest innovations in NLP and LLM.
  • Design and test algorithms, and conduct prototyping to evaluate possible scenarios leveraging computational and statistical techniques to develop novel approaches for text and image data.
  • Hands-on development of Gen AI-based models for text and/or images.
  • Analyze and present complex data with proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Collaborate daily with team members and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Translate business problems into research initiatives that deliver business value.
  • Maintain a strong publication record in leading scientific journals.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Ph.D. (or MS with 4+ years of post-MS experience) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, or an Analytics discipline.
  • 3+ years of work experience.
  • Expertise in NLP or Information Retrieval.
  • Proficiency in Python or another high-level programming language.
  • Experience in developing statistical and machine learning models for environmental and agronomical applications.
  • Familiarity with LLMs.
  • Experience analyzing and presenting complex data.
  • Strong publication record in leading scientific journals.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working with agricultural/biological scientific data.
  • Creativity in defining challenging exploratory projects.
  • Drive for translating business problems into research initiatives that deliver business value.
  • Team player, self-motivated, and good communication skills.

Pay:  $61.60 – $88 /hr.
