What You Will Be Doing:
This role is responsible for the consultation and instructional design of learning solutions with the aim of creating highly impactful and modern learning experiences. Bring your expertise as a consultant to drive the analysis and design phases while also incorporating instructional design skills to develop and evaluate the resource.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leverage Multiple Expertise
- Utilize consultant skills to analyze and recommend the design to the customer. Implement instructional design skills in collaboration with colleagues (teammates) and customer to design, develop, and evaluate learning solutions.
Learning Effectiveness
- Employ knowledge and skills in instructional design principles to develop interactive and engaging content for a variety of audiences.
- Possess expertise in assessment and evaluation techniques to measure the impact of learning initiatives.
Business Learning Stories (Project Management)
- Conduct a needs assessment by consulting with clients (teammates) to analyze our business problems to determine the root cause and determine if a need exists and if so the right solution.
- Design appropriate solution (& format) with social and experiential activities to meet learning objectives.
- Develop the appropriate course materials for the identified learners.
- Incorporating evaluation by using Kirkpatricks methodology.
Content Management
- Ensure that all solutions designed are ready for translation, improvement, reuse in a different context or for a different purpose.
- Being part of a pool of Instructional Designers that contribute to design and building of projects.
- Constantly scan new learning and communications technologies for usage in learning solutions design.
Teamwork
- Establish relationships with clients and peers to provide a positive customer experience.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to design effective learning programs that meet the needs of the learners.
- Bring your enthusiasm and creativity to the role while providing guidance and best practices for course development.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited University preferred, but not required. Plus consulting certification from ATD (or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience in training of which at least 3 years of instructional design experience including traditional (classrooms, eLearning’s, workshops…) and modern (online learning curriculums, video based, and social) learning solutions.
- Experience as a training or L&D consultant with 3 years experience and ability to work with external and internal stakeholders (engineers, organizational development, education & training, etc.) translating learning objectives (business and people needs) in designed learning solutions.
- Strong experience in articulate 360 (Rise and Storyline) and other content authoring tools for a largescale environment.
- Some experience with some of the following: HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, PHP, alternate media development tools, video production and digital Learning technologies / platforms.
