What You Will Be Doing:
The Manager, IT Infrastructure and Operations is responsible for development and management of the infrastructure and network operations team. This position, as a member of the management team, helps to deliver outstanding service to our clients.
The Manager, IT Infrastructure and Operations oversees outside vendors who provide company services in ITO. This position is responsible for high productivity and uptime with systems that take a low percentage of ongoing support time. The DevOps-IT Infrastructure team is responsible for delivering superior client satisfaction by working with multiple DataServ team members.
Responsibilities:
- Leads a team of infrastructure engineers.
- Coaches and mentors team members to drive a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and personal growth.
- Leads the team by example in driving and implementing actionable process, efficiency and quality improvements.
- Troubleshoots issues.
- Continues to learn new technologies and concepts.
- Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation as it relates to the infrastructure.
- Monitors and establishes metrics, processes, and best practices in order to ensure high quality systems.
- Continues to evolve the use of automation and configuration management.
- Participates in the creation, maintenance, and execution of privacy and security policies and procedures.
- Participates in the creation, maintenance, testing, and execution of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Works with vendors, managed service providers, and contracted support to augment team capabilities.
- Assists in capacity planning activities.
- Participates in after-hours upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting, and on-call availability as needed.
- Functions as a project lead to ensure major projects are kept on track and key deliverables met.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related degree
- 8+ years of infrastructure and application support in a production environment
- 2+ years in a team leadership or management role
- AWS or other cloud experience
- Experience supporting applications in complex AWS infrastructures
- Experience with automation tools such as Puppet and Cloud Formation
- Strong scripting knowledge for Windows and Linux platforms
- Design level expertise for SaaS operating platforms
- Knowledge of Linux, Windows, networking, docker, firewalls, SQL Server, Mongo
Desired Skills & Experience:
- MBA a plus
- AWS Solutions Architect Certification desired
- SaaS/ASP/Cloud experience is a strong plus
- SSAE-16 SOC2, HIPAA, or equivalent compliance experience strongly desired
