What You Will Be Doing:

The IT Business Analyst is responsible for developing, interpreting, reviewing, validating, documenting, and maintaining business and functional requirements. This position evaluates requests to determine feasibility, researches and identifies options, and recommends solutions that best serve business needs. The Business Analyst also presents information and tracks and responds to questions related to business standards. In addition, this position performs key administrative duties while searching for continuous improvement potential. The IT Business Analyst serves as the primary interface between NetOps and our peer teams within IT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, interpret, review, validate, document, and maintain business and functional requirements
  • Evaluate requests to determine feasibility and recommend solutions
  • Present information and track and respond to questions related to business standards
  • Perform key administrative duties and seek continuous improvement opportunities
  • Serve as the primary interface between NetOps and other IT teams

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Commitment to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
  • 2+ years of business analysis experience with exposure to various methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Proven track record of taking initiative and driving plans effectively
  • Effective time management and multitasking abilities
  • Strong communication skills across IT teams, business teams, and vendors
  • Ability to lead meetings such as Daily Stand-ups, Retrospectives, and issue analysis calls
  • Leadership and team-centric skills
  • Strong problem-solving and IT technical skills
  • Excellent relationship-building and maintenance across IT and business partners
  • Professional attitude with a strong desire and ability to take ownership
  • High-quality customer service orientation and willingness to expend additional effort when necessary
  • Secure in independent judgment and autonomous decision making
  • Experience preparing and delivering informal and formal presentations
  • Ability to discern between requested and feasible solutions within project parameters
  • Experience developing standards, processes, and procedures for the department
  • Continuous improvement mindset for applications, processes, and team
  • Strong working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and ServiceNow

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field
  • Previous Network Operations/Network Engineering experience
  • Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, MS Teams, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise applications and processes
  • Experience creating detailed reporting and dashboards within ServiceNow and/or Jira

Pay:  $39.20 – $56 /hr.
