What You Will Be Doing:

As an Engineer 2, you will play a crucial role in leveraging your technical expertise to solve complex business challenges. We are seeking a skilled individual who can act as a subject matter expert in their domain, representing their department in intricate assignments. Your primary responsibilities will include evaluating the effectiveness of technology components through comprehensive analysis, testing, and research. Additionally, you will be instrumental in driving recommendations for enhancements to elevate quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert within the Managed DevOps team, focusing on building AWS and/or Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
  • Utilize Terraform and CI/CD automation methodologies for infrastructure deployment.
  • Identify and implement changes to optimize team efficiency in meeting non-functional requirements such as security, compliance, performance, and cost.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand and address customer needs effectively.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Commitment to integrating security into all aspects of work.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, Bitbucket, Maven/Gradle, and Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Groovy, Linux Shell, and/or Python.
  • Experience with IAAS tools such as Terraform and its scripting language HCL.
  • Knowledge of Linux user interface and commands.
  • Hands-on experience with building, deploying, and maintaining infrastructure in AWS and/or Azure.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience in platform management for web application environments (e.g., Java on Tomcat, Websphere, JBoss).
  • AWS or Azure cloud certifications.
  • Understanding of Content Management Systems like Adobe Experience Manager or Drupal.
  • Familiarity with Open Source automation tools such as Chef or Ansible.
  • General understanding of DNS, firewalls, routing, and certificate management.

Pay: $49 – $70 /hr.
