What You Will Be Doing:
We are excited to announce the opening of an Engineer 2 – Data (Reporting & Visualizations) position! This role is crucial in gathering data and developing reports and visualizations to illustrate and measure organizational responses to key business initiatives. Engineer 2 will also manage ad-hoc requests and gather reporting and visualization requirements.
Our team provides streamlined and effective solutions to serve our growing operations. The Data Services team is responsible for curating and providing access to our data assets for both internal and external consumers. This role offers the opportunity to shape a progressive architecture and maximize skill diversity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather data and develop reports to measure organizational response to key business initiatives
- Design and develop visualizations to illustrate trends, relative magnitudes, outliers/exceptions, and metric relationships at scale
- Manage ad-hoc requests and reporting queue according to assigned priority
- Gather reporting requirements and develop report specifications
- Evaluate customer needs to determine and provide high-quality solutions that align with expectations
- Assist with trend analysis and document results
- Test and validate reports against established metrics to ensure consistent, reliable, and accurate results
- Conduct compliance assessments and audits, as directed
- Enhance data and environment security procedures
- Document procedures and tasks using the Atlassian suite
- Maintain established service level agreements to meet customer expectations and quality standards
- Assist with task automation and process improvements
- Incorporate security and compliance in all decisions and daily job responsibilities
Required Skills & Experience:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring work authorization sponsorship now or in the future
- Must currently reside in one of the following states: AL, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MI, MO, NC, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, or WV
- 3+ years of experience developing reports and visualizations using analytical tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Oracle Business Intelligence
- 3+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL
- Commitment to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
- Ability to meet all work-from-home requirements
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and 3-6 years of related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Portfolio of compelling visualizations developed and deployed for business users
- Experience with mobile-friendly visualization development and responsive design principles
- Experience with Snowflake cloud data warehouse
- Experience with Oracle database
- Experience mentoring data visualization techniques
Pay: $87,500 – $125,000 /yr.
