What You Will Be Doing:
The Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Cloud & Data Engineer will be involved in the design and implementation of a large-scale Enterprise Data Warehouse hosted in GCP, using BigQuery technology. The Cloud Engineer must have experience with various Data Modeling approaches, including dimensional and 3rd normal form and have expertise with dynamic and complex SQL operations. The GCP Cloud & Data Engineer will be expected to have expertise with GCP services and best practices, specifically around BigQuery, DataFlow, Data Fusion, GKE, Cloud Composer and IAM. The GCP Cloud & Data Engineer will participate in the building of large-scale data processing systems, is an expert in data warehousing solutions and should be able to work with the latest database technologies across AWS and Google cloud.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree and at least 2 years of working experience.
- Expertise in GCP services and appropriate use-cases for each
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines
- Software engineering experience with programming languages like GoLang, Java or Python
- Expertise with Relational Databases such as Teradata, Oracle, Redshift and Postgres
- Expertise with various Data Modeling approaches, including 3NF and Dimensional modeling
- Ability to solve complex issues with re-usable frameworks
- Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, written and oral communication
- Ability to quickly learn technologies such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Apache Beam, and Kafka
