What You Will Be Doing:
The Cloud Infrastructure Architect Is a leadership role within the Office of Health Information and Data Science (OHIDS) responsible for the optimal design and implementation of a multi- and hybrid-cloud strategy and architecture utilizing public cloud services with a focus on configuring cloud workloads and leading research-computing strategies.
This position will work closely with senior leaders and interdisciplinary research teams to support data acquisition, management, and analysis requirements and support complex interdisciplinary projects within and across the university.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Graduate degree in information management, computer science, engineering, or a related field
- Experience working in a higher education research University
- Experience with IT Infrastructure transformation and data center migrations
- Conversant with gathering information from customers and designing, building, deploying, and supporting a system that meets their needs
- Enterprise level of understanding of how different systems and services such as networking, security, infrastructure, and software integrate with and affect the IT environment
- Possess a broad range of technical skills and experience with enterprise-class services
- Experience with security design and configuration management within various cloud technologies such as VMware, Microsoft, Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud
