More than 800 professional women gathered at The Chase Park Plaza in St. Louis for the 7th Annual Christian Business Women's Breakfast. This year's event centered around the theme "Take Heart, Daughter," drawing inspiration from Jesus' words in Matthew 9:22, offering attendees a powerful message of hope and healing.

The breakfast, organized by The Rooted Sisters, provided a unique opportunity for Christian business leaders to connect, grow in their faith, and find encouragement in their professional journeys. The event featured a delicious plated breakfast, powerful worship, and an atmosphere of genuine fellowship.

Keynote Speaker: Britney Ruby Miller

This year's keynote speaker was Britney Ruby Miller, CEO of Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment and author of "5-Star Life: The Faithful Fight to Overcome Obstacles and Pursue Excellence." Miller, known for her bold Christian faith in the marketplace, captivated the audience with her vulnerability, courage, and leadership.

Miller began her address by sharing a clip from the series The Chosen, which depicts the Biblical story of a woman healed after suffering for 12 years. She then invited attendees to reflect on their own moments of hopelessness and exhaustion, reminding them that perseverance is key: "If you don't quit, you will win."

A Journey of Faith and Resilience

In a touching moment, Miller opened up about her personal struggles with infertility and miscarriages, revealing a rare gene deficiency that gave her only a 30 percent chance of having a healthy baby. Despite losing hope at times, she emphasized that she never lost faith during this challenging season.

The Jeff Ruby Experience

Drawing from her professional expertise, Miller challenged the audience to embrace the core values of the Jeff Ruby Experience:

  • True to Self
  • Servant's Heart
  • Hustle
  • Be Exceptional
  • Change the Game

She also addressed the danger of confusing excellence with perfection, a trap many professional women fall into.

The Rooted Sisters: A Growing Community

The success of this year's breakfast is a testament to the growth and impact of The Rooted Sisters, founded in 2015 by Lisa Nichols and Cindy Owens. What began as a small group of three women has blossomed into a community of over 300 female business leaders, united in their desire to live out their faith in the workplace.

Looking Ahead

As The Rooted Sisters continue to expand their influence, events like the Christian Business Women's Breakfast are powerful reminders of the strength found in faith and community. For the more than 800 women who attended, the morning was not just a networking opportunity but a chance to recharge, refocus, and recommit to their faith-driven leadership in the business world.
