Gateway to Innovation, the St. Louis region’s largest technology-focused conference, featured all of this and more Wednesday at America’s Center Convention Complex in downtown St. Louis.

And Technology Partners was at the center of it all. 

As Diamond Sponsor of the 15th annual event, Technology Partners hosted a future-focused panel and interactive presentation highlighting key technology opportunities, challenges, and practices to help attendees maintain a competitive advantage.

Technology Partners Chief Executive Officer, Lisa Nichols, delivered an inspirational midday message, during which she highlighted all of the groundbreaking technology work coming out of the St. Louis tech landscape.

Technology Partners orchestrated the panel, “Transforming Healthcare: Empowering Patients, Providers, and Payers Through Actionable, Accurate Data.” 

The panel was comprised of clinicians and researchers focused on delivering the medical breakthroughs of today and tomorrow. They discussed the importance of researchers and clinicians collaborating across departments to better share anonymized, clinical quality data to achieve interoperability.


Technology Partners hosted a future-focused panel with experts from leading research institutions.

The panel included the following leaders: 

• Philip Payne, Professor at the Director Institute for Informatics at Washington University School of Medicine.

• Jeffrey Thompson, Chief Research Informatics Officer at The University of Kansas Medical Center 

• Albert Lai, Chief Research Information Officer at Washington University 

• Katie Wilkinson, Sr. Director at the University Missouri.

Technology Partners also hosted an interactive presentation, “Agile Agony? Delivering High Impact/Low Risk Agile Transformations.” 

The talk was given by Greg Smith, an Agile Trainer/Coach at Technology Partners. He gave tips to help organizational leaders overcome process inconsistency, cultural resistance, and inadequate support from corporate management.
