Hosted by Lisa Nichols, the podcast will feature entrepreneur Erin Joy, founder of Black Dress Circle
St. Louis, October 29, 2019: The public is invited to attend a free breakfast and networking event from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 6, at the Undivided Experience Center in Chesterfield, and to take part in a special “Something Extra” podcast recording.
The podcast, airing its 54th program and celebrating its first anniversary, will be recorded during the event for the show’s subscribers. It is produced and hosted weekly by Technology Partners co-founder and CEO Lisa Nichols.
The Nov. 6 program will feature Erin Joy, founder of St. Louis-based Black Dress Circle, a women’s-only CEO peer group that meets monthly to discuss unique challenges of managing emerging and evolving companies, tackle real-world business challenges, frame decisions, and share experiences with each other.
Following the breakfast and networking time, Nichols and Joy will discuss what it takes to “Embrace the Entrepreneur Mindset.” This will be hosted in the Undivided Experience Center, 657 Spirit Airpark West Drive, Suite 102, in Chesterfield.
“We began interviewing business and cultural leaders from throughout the region a year ago for ‘Something Extra,’ which reflects the fact that there is something extra in all of us. “My guests share their stories and show us what it takes to influence, encourage, and to be true leaders in business and in our daily lives.”
- Lisa Nichols, CEO of Technology Partners
Guests for “Something Extra” are highly diverse and have ranged from business executives like Build-A-Bear founder, Maxine Clark, and Dana Lorberg, executive vice president of Mastercard International, to Trisha Zimmer Ferguson, president of Kaldi’s Coffee, and Khalia Collier, Owner and General Manager of the St. Louis Surge Women’s Professional Basketball team.
Joy’s company offers programs that empower women CEOs and entrepreneurs to discuss and solve challenging business issues in a confidential environment. Black Dress Circle members also are prohibited from doing business with each other so relationships stay focused on trust and support.
